During his tenure at the State Attorney’s Office, he served in multiple capacities, including director of information technology, local agency security officer (LASO), and photographer. James was successful in engineering and implementing the acceptance of digital media from law enforcement agencies, eliminating the use of physical media (such as CDs and thumb drives) by over 85%. He established strategies that focused on delivering complex solutions to critical government missions for national security, federal civilian agencies, and state and local entities. He is a United States Marine Corps Combat Veteran and former Harris Corporation Technical and Coalition Trainer, with 15 years of experience in tactical communications and data operations. During his 10 years of active duty service, Michael successfully completed 3 combat tours, including: Operation Iraqi Freedom (2) Operation Enduring Freedom (1) Additionally, he was assigned to tactical operations duty with the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Inspector Instructor Duty with 4th Marine Air Wing, Advanced Infantry and Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC) units, in which he successfully operated as the Special Operations Capable Specialty Communicator. After completing active duty, Michael continued his Marine Corps service in the Individual Ready Reserve, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant before being honorably discharged in July of 2017. At Harris Corporation, Michael trained both domestic and international Military personnel, as well as International Defense Units within the United States and abroad. He also served in roles as an advisor and coordinator on matters related to Afghanistan coalition training. In lieu of his extensive experience, Michael has operated, worked, and visited over 30 countries, delivering tactical communication services and training.
